Hello there everybody!

Right now, you're all probably thinking 'my god, she's finally deigned to update her lj ... wait a minute, just who is she again?'

::laughs:: Obviously, it's been a long time since I've been on here, and an even longer time for people not on my flist who never saw any of my RL whingeing posts, lol.

Anyway, long story cut short: 2007 was probably the worst year of my life. I lost family members I deeply cared about ... broke my foot for the second time in a year ... and was struck down for nine months by glandular fever. Needless to say, I wasn't really in the right mindset to post anything on here, which I really do apologise for. I've met some great people on here in the past few years, and unfortunately, I haven't been able to chat with any of you in quite some time.

I've only recently recovered from all the above mentioned events, and am determined to start 2008 off with a few changes in my life - both real and online life. My first online resolution for the year was to resume writing again, and to finish as many of my fics as I can. At the moment, I'm focusing mostly on To do the Unspeakable. I've even posted all the available chapters onto fanfiction.net and Schoogle to get back into the mood, and I believe that I'll be posting Chapter Six very shortly. My next resolution was to not drop off the face of the planet again. I will keep updating on here, whether it be posting new chapters, or progress updates on them.

Also, I've decided that I will be making this a friends only journal from now on, so only my stories will be public posts. It's a matter of privacy, as I really don't want real life to intrude on here.

Just lastly, if anyone is reading this, I want to wish everyone the best for the rest of 2008. May your dreams be fulfilled!

Wow ... time flies by really fast.

The beginning of this year has sprung quite a few new and different things upon me. There was namely, the record heat wave (I might have mentioned once that I do not function well in hot weather), sickness (yes, unfortunately, the theory of less stress did not mean that I would get better), and a few other things that I won't go into for fear of boring anyone. I probably have already, lol.

Just on a happy note though, my teenage self made a reappearance this week. One of my all time favourite bands, the Backstreet Boys (yes, I'm hearing the chuckles, please stop :P), came to Adelaide on Wednesday for their Australian 'Never Gone' tour. I of course went, and the concert was absolutely amazing, especially when Nick Carter jumped the barricades and stopped only metres in front of me, my screaming best friend, and her squealing sisters.

However, it was the next day that was even better. Early the next morning, my friend and I decided to wait for them at the airport - see if we could get a few autographs, take a few pictures with them and so forth. We could, and we did - excluding with Nick as he was rather cranky and snobby.

I'm sure that not many people are interested, but I'll probably be posting the pics up in the next few weeks or so. I still can't believe I have photos with them. Yay! And a cute lil BSB top too!

*Cough* As for my fics, I've almost finished with Chapter Five for TdtU. It's a bit shorter than the others, but there is more Harry/Draco interaction, which you'll all be happy to know. I'll try and get that done by Wednesday.

I don't have as much time as I would like to read how everyone is going, but I do hope that everyone on my flist is well and enjoying life as it is.

Er - hello *sheepish grin*

Now I know it's been since June that I last posted on here *faints*, but all I can say in my defence is that real life once again intervened.

Even though I have the most annoying habit of becoming very sick (constantly I might add too), I stupidly decided to take on a full time load for the second semester at uni. With the work I had piled on top of me from being sick all the time, my classes ended up keeping me busy up until the very last weeks before Christmas.

Add on the fact that I've spent more time travelling this month than I have in my entire life, I've had little time to write or post in the free time I have had - even just to go on the internet and write the smallest of messages announcing that I was still alive.

Nevertheless, I have managed to get quite a bit of writing done this week - travelling nine hours in a car will do that to you - and I will be posting up Chapter Four of TdtU, if anyone is still following it.

And that brings me to my next point. After the release of the HBP (which I won't be commenting on, because I'm still steaming), I decided to make TdtU HBP compliant. So anybody who is actually reading my fic might want to start from the first chapter again, because I've modified a few things here and there.

Well ... I hope everybody had an enjoyable Christmas and have a memorable New Year. I plan on having one, even though down here in Australia, we've just experienced our hottest day in December since 1939 (42.2 freaking degrees celsius!), and will probably have the same for New Years Eve. *sigh* Ah well.

Anywhoo, before I go, I just want to give a few thank you's to all the people who have reviewed over the past few months, and haven't received a reply back from me. I really do appreciate the feedback, and I did end up reading them all!

No update yet, I'm afraid.

But before anyone starts chucking rotten fruit my way, I just thought I'd say how overwhelmed I was by the amount of reviews I had for the first chapter alone! I never thought I'd get such a response and such a positive one at that, so I definitely can't resist thanking everyone who has either read, reviewed or friended me in the past few days!

Anyway, it has spurred me into writing more of Chapter Two of "To do the Unspeakable" (I think I'll call it TdtU for short) than I thought, and hopefully I'll be able to send it off to my beta by Friday night ... or Saturday morning. I really do want to get it finished before the sixth book comes out, and seeing as it is going to end up being at least 20 chapters long (averaging 5,000 words each chapter), I'm really going to have to get my butt into gear.

Okay well, I have to be going. Unfortunately, this week I haven't had as much time to be on the internet as I'd like, because my dear cousin is staying with us until Sunday, and has been hogging the phone and internet for his own stupid things. It's been really annoying, him taking over the whole house, but seeing as he's 27 years old, twice my size and still capable of holding me upside down by one leg ... I haven't opened my mouth to complain.
